John Norton
President
John was a founder of iHost Networks has been President
since July of 2005. From 1999 to 2001 John was Vice
President of Professional Services for Stamps.com Inc.
From 1994 to 1999 John was Vice President of Sales and
Marketing, and a partner, in MicroCrafts, Inc. The
company was a Redmond, Washington custom software
development firm that built Windows applications for
Fortune 500 companies such as Hewlett Packard, Microsoft
and Pitney Bowes. During these years, MicroCrafts grew
from 5 employees to 100 and won many multi-million
dollar development projects. In 1997, MicroCrafts was
named the 3rd fastest growing technology company in
Washington State by Deloitte and Touche. In 1998,
Microcrafts was acquired by Metamor Worldwide, who later
was acquired by PSINet. Prior to MicroCrafts, John was
Vice President and National Sales Manager for Advanced
Composites, Inc. of Seattle, Washington. In 1992, he
received a patent for a fiberglass fastening system
(#5,205,022). John earned a Bachelor's Degree in
Economics from the University of Washington.
James Bratsanos
Vice-President, Chief Technology Officer
James is a co-founder of iHostNetworks and has over
27 years of software development experience. Prior
to iHost Networks, he co-founded MicroCrafts. James
managed MicroCrafts' relationship and development
efforts with Microsoft. He has been building Windows
related technologies since the release of Windows 3.0
in 1990. James also was part of the original Windows
NT development team. In 1992, he developed one of the
first commercially successful shrink-wrapped Windows
applications, MyLabelDesigner, for MySoftware Company.
James is an expert in Printer Driver technology and
holds a patent in this area (#6,995,853). While
attending the University of Washington, James
co-authored the computer game named "Kong". The
product was later renamed "LodeRunner" by Broderbund.
In 1985, it won Electronic Games "Computer Game of the
Year" award.
Craig Schneider
Vice-President, General Manager
As General Manager, Craig runs the day-to-day operations
of iHost Networks. He is responsible for Human Resources
as well as Finance and Accounting. Before joining iHost
Networks, Craig was a Business Analyst at Voicestream
Wireless. His responsibilities included creating company
wide reports for operations, and consulting with the VP
of Customer Care and Finance to improve departmental
business practices. Prior to Voicestream, Craig worked
at MicroCrafts as Manager of Accounting, where he
assisted in building financial plans, reporting on
budget vs. actual performance, as well as supervising
all accounting personnel. Craig has a degree in Business
from Western Washington University. He is a Certified
Public Accountant.
Nicholas Criss
Director of Engineering
Nicholas joined iHost Networks in 2002 and has 14 years
of software development experience. He has been working
on Internet-related technologies since the beginning of
his career. At iHost Networks, he is responsible for
building all new software technology and managing the
development team. From 2000 to 2001, Nicholas was
Director of Engineering at Silvaris, where he led the
development of a highly specialized B2B commerce Web
site target targeted at the lumber industry. Prior to
Silvaris, he worked as a Software Lead Engineer at
MicroCrafts, where he worked on Internet related
development projects for the company's largest client,
Microsoft. From 1994-1997 Nicholas worked for several
firms, all on early stage internet projects. From
1992-1994 Nicholas worked for Primeline Communications,
Inc. where he designed and developed an e-commerce server
software offering named "Online Business Works" (OBW).
OBW was one of the first commercially available
e-commerce server products.
Kyle Ilk
Director of Network Operations
Kyle joined iHost Networks in 2002. He is responsible
for the overall performance and availability of the
iHost Networks information technology infrastructure.
Before joining the team at iHost Networks, Kyle was
part of the Windows Media Server and Player team in
the Digital Media Division at Microsoft. The group
worked on the release of Windows XP. At Microsoft,
Kyle was involved in the development of automation
technology used to run software testing labs and
network layer protocol tolerance assurance. Prior
to working with Microsoft, Kyle worked for
Assessments.com, a subsidiary of Allvest Information
Services, as Network Operations Director and managed
the Seattle based IT infrastructure operations.
